The aim of this test is to perform the structural integrity evaluation of metallic pressure vessels (spheres, columns and tanks) that allows 100% inspection or pressure vessel monitoring of the asset during a pressure testing.

MONPAC procedure is proposed for this type of application. It uses multichannel Acoustic Emission systems and sensors able to detect high frequency signals as a result of asset’s deterioration process when is under pressure. MONPAC is particularly effective for pressure vessel monitoring of spheres, columns and storage tanks. MONPAC allows real-time defect detection at high resolution and speed rates.
